I don’t see weddings as a beginning, I see weddings as a continuation. The continuing of being in love. Continuing to explore life and the world together. Continuing to grow and change. Nothing changes and everything changes. I was so honored to photograph the continuation of Kenny and Mauro’s relationship into marriage. 

I have known Kenny since he was a teenager and had the pleasure of getting to know him as he danced for my dance company. A few years ago as we sat waiting for everyone else to come through the doors of the studio for rehearsal, he told me of the man he met working on a dance job in Georgia. The  nervousness and excitement that comes with a new relationship was present, but there was also a twinkle in his eyes and a willingness in his heart to jump into something that was a little unknown. Many years later these two men have built a beautiful life together. They run the Joffrey program in Texas, have two dogs together and navigate the ever changing road of a life in the creative field together. 

It was a beautiful, intimate day in Palm Springs, filled with love and family. Thank you for asking me to capture your wedding day.
